Charitable Purpose

To preserve diesel, petrol, and other internal combustion powered railway locomotives and other associated equipment: safely, sustainably, and to accepted and legal standards appropriate to their present and future use. To safely and sustainably promote knowledge of and interest in diesel, petrol and other internal combustion powered railway locomotives for public benefit. To support the highest standards of safety among operators of heritage railways including – but not limited – to the identification and management of risk to ensure safe practices and outcomes for both internal and external parties in the attainment of these Objectives, and; the research and application of best practice in governance and operations.
