Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The aim of the Trust is to promote language development in children with language delay. This will be achieved by supporting parents, siblings and educators in the use of visual language as a means of promoting speech.

Entity Structure

The Robbie White Charitable Trust was established in 1994 to aid language development in children who are visual learners. Research involving children with Down Syndrome has shown that while auditory perception is poor, visual perception is often a strength. The Trust is parent controlled and is there to encourage each family to fully participate in visual language. Our Field Worker’s role is to support the child and the significant adults involved with that child.
