Charitable Purpose

To provide or ensure the provision of accessable health care and wellness services to the community of Wairoa and surrounding districts. To support any institution, society or other body of persons whether incorporated or not whose objectives are similar to the objectives of the Trust, provided that any such entity is established for charitable purposes in New Zealand.

Entity Structure

Wairoa District Charitable Trust is a Trust and is subject to the Trustees Act 1956, and the particular Deed of Trust as established by the settlor on 29 November 2002. The Trust is administered by 6 Trustees. The Trustees shall comprise of the following: 1 person appointed by the HB District Health Board, 1 by the Wairoa District Council and 3 Trustees - 1 an independent i.e. no conflicts.
