Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Kumarani Productions Trust ("KPT") Mission Statement is to promote and introduce Community Circus as a social art model into New Zealand culture involving people of all ages and abilities and use this concept as a pathway for community building. KPT is a community project working collaboratively in areas of arts and culture, education, health and social development, providing regular and one-off classes, workshops and shows for people of all ages and abilities. KPT's major project is managing Circus Kumarani, but also seeks opportunities to engage with and promote other creative disciplines, and to support community led development. KTP organises community events, attending public consultations to advocate for the arts and minority groups, and collaborating with groups and individuals to provide inclusive, accessible and safe spaces that promote wellbeing through creative arts, community connection and physical activity.
