Charitable Purpose

The Whangarei Libraries Foundation purpose is to provide financial and other support to the libraries in the Whangarei District. The WLF aims in particular to promote the "written arts" in the area by: supporting projects that increase local peoples' participation in the written arts. encouraging projects that strengthen the written arts sector. To record the life and history of people in the Whangarei District

Entity Structure

The WLF is run by an elected committee and gathers funds from the sale of books which are used for prizes in story writing competitions and grants from other sources for specific programs that record the history of the Whangarei District
