(a) To develop, maintain and enhance sustainable farming practices in the South Canterbury Region, using predominantly (but not exclusively) water storage and irrigation schemes. (b) To specifically educate farmers within the region but also the general public on the efficent and sustainable use of water to enhance agricultural and horticultural productivity for the betterment of the people in the region. (c) For the education, benefit and welfare of citizens and wider South Canterbury community by promoting agricultural sustainability and enhancing farming practices for greater productivity. (d) The construction and provision of land, buildings and any associated structures in the furtherance of these (and related) objectives.
