Charitable Purpose

Victory Community Centre is located in Victory village in Nelson. We are co-located on the Victory Primary School campus and offer a wide range of health and wellbeing support services and coordinate a programme of activities and events. Our vision, mission and strategic goals are as follows: Vision - Victory is a thriving and caring community of health, hope and possibility. Mission - Wellbeing for people and community: we provide accessible support and activities. We collaborate and advocate. Strategic goals: 1. VCC is a thriving community hub 2. We work with and advocate for our community 3. Our community can easily access healthcare/support for wellbeing 4. Our programmes and activities enhance Victory community wellbeing 5. VCC is a strong and effective organisation.

Entity Structure

Our legal name is Victory Community Health Incorporated but we trade as Victory Community Centre. We are an Incorporated Society and are registered as a charity. A governance board of up to nine (currently five people plus one Kuia) oversees the operation of the organisation. This includes formal positions of Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary plus other members. The Manager is employed by and reports to the board, and is responsible for employing all staff.
