Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

We are a Tibetan Buddhist Teaching &retreat centre affiliated with the Foundation of the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) founded by Lama Yeshe and Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche. Our purposes are: 1. TO provide authentic Buddhist teachings from our lineage and provide an environment conducive to the study and practice of those teachings. 2. TO provide retreat facilities/accommodation and support for those wanting to engage in intensive study and practice . 3. TO bring to NZ, approved FPMT Tibetan and Western teachers from the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism to to teach and guide students in their study and practice. 4. TO provide universal education programmes including meditation and mind transformation. 5. TO develop universal education programme based on Buddhist principles for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction To assist finance or support any charitable organisations or activities in NZ of a nature in harmony with Buddhist principles.
