Charitable Purpose
Canaan Christian Family Church Incorporated (also known as Connect Church Devonport) provides religious services and activities for people of all ages, and is established for exclusively charitable purposes. The church's vision is to see our communities and beyond transformed one life at a time, with the hope and love of Jesus Christ. As expressed in its constitution, the church exists to provide Christian education for all age groups and to encourage training for active ministry at home and abroad. (This ministry may involve pastoral care, expressing the love of God through meeting the needs of others, both physical and spiritual, serving people both in church and in the wider community.) To share the message of the Word of God as expressed in the church's declaration of faith and in accordance with the terms of the mission of Christ as stated in scripture. To encourage an attitude of Christian fellowship toward others. To honour the reigning Sovereign and government.
