To promote the practice and performance of a wide range of major classical, and contemporary New Zealand, choral and orchestral music for the purposes of the education, artistic excellence and enjoyment of musicians, choristers, singers and general public; To: • help to make Auckland culturally rich and creative • grow artistic excellence 
 • strengthen and sustain our organisation 
 • grow and engage our audiences 
 • contribute to the overall economic benefit of Auckland
