Charitable Purpose
The Hugh Saunders Trust was established in March 2001 when the late Hugh Saunders of Christchurch, a former member of the Rotary Club of Dunedin, bequeathed to the Rotary Club of Dunedin the sum of $42,000 to be applied as the Directors thought fit. The Club established the Trust, the purpose of which is to provide charitable and educational grants to young people.
