Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

We are a community-based urban farm and enterprise project, growing food, skills and leadership with local families. The overall purpose of the Trust is to grow vibrant and resilient local communities, recognising that this is inseparable from restoring and protecting the health of the environment, by lighting the magic in communities.

Entity Structure

Trust structure: Our trust deed states that we must have a minimum of 3 trustees. We currently have five trustees that constitute our governance board, including two executive officer positions: Chair and Secretary. Trustees/governance members may lead sub-committees as determined by our annual work plan and priorities. Operational structure: Our operations are managed by a team of 7 employees and contractors (majority of which are part time)
