Charitable Purpose

Vision: People living with dementia/mate wareware in the Wellington Region live their best lives. Our Mission: to enable more people living with mate wareware/dementia access high quality and effective community support services. Dementia Wellington exists to help people with mate wareware/dementia and their whanau/caregivers live well with dementia. We provide tailored information, education, advice and support services to individuals and groups. We support people with dementia to continue to be active in the activities they enjoy. We develop and maintain liaison and partnerships with local organisations so they can better support people with dementia.

Entity Structure

Dementia Wellington is governed by a Board of Trustees of six- eight members that meet regularly. The day to day activities are carried out by a team of 9 paid staff (6.55 FTE) and about 30 regular volunteers. Dementia Wellington is affiliated to Dementia New Zealand.
