Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Forgotten Felines Foundation (F3) is an organisation whose primary mission is to help people within the community of Kapiti Coast (and nearby areas) with the stray and abandoned cat/kitten population. Recently we had a trustee move to Northland area, so have they have been assisting in this very under severed area. However our main focus is still within Kapiti and Horowhenua areas We utilise “TNR” (trap-neuter-return) to maintain local Cat Colonies. Also, F3 has been assisting with low cost community de-sexing (and microchipping) . To offer a subsidized option to to our local areas, and address the barriers that would otherwise prevent people from getting their cats de-sexed. The low cost de-sexing has grown a lot in late 2022 onto 2024. The idea is to be the “ambulance “ at the top of the cliff rather then the bottom.

We have a head office based in Te Horo (Kapiti Coast) and have Foster Parents in Kapiti Coast and Levin. Our trust deed states that we must have at least two Trustees. We currently have two Trustees. The Board includes a Chairman, the Secretary and Treasurer.
